Is it guilt?

There are many things that I don't have in my life which most people do.  Besides the fact that I don't have a husband or children, I do want to believe that I don't have them by choice.  I did frequently agree with the notion that marriage was a "trap" of sorts but I guess... Continue Reading →

Do you feel famous yet?

When I was a kid, I accompanied my mother to an Andy Warhol exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC.  I believe I had a project due for school which required me to create a painting based on a geometrical shape, like a 3-D cylinder, or in Andy Warhol's world, a Campbell's soup... Each day, at least once per day, I have a thought I plan to blog about...whether it be about my job choice, my upcoming vacation or my relationship.  I always feel as though I am having a feeling, idea or emotion which should be explored through writing.  And then, quite frequently, I sit down to... I got this!

Every once in a while, I might see what I imagine to be a happy mother with a beautiful child in stroller or carriage and the thought might cross my, that really would have been so cool, to have become a mother. Currently, as many of you know, I live in Mexico, so while traveling to the States to visit, I have to mix with both Americans and Mexicans as well as any other foreigner located in the city I am traveling from to either visit or return to the States  As many of you know, since... Serious identity issues…

It's not that strange, I don't think...but while living in a foreign country (non-American) it is very difficult to be known as anything else but as being an "American."  No one cares where I find my identity or whom I feel I most identify with.  As far as anyone is concerned, I'm "American" and that's... Stop the voices…

I've always been a reader...referring to it as my way to see the world.  How else but between pages would I have been able to experience the Civil War alongside Scarlet O'Hara or the Italian Mafia in Sicily with Michael Corleone or the genocide committed in Cambodia during the 1970's...had it not been for the...
